News, Blogs and Bragging
Here I am, lost in thought, with that "dedicated author look."
- At last! The print version of Alchemist's Potion is available on
eBay and will soon be available from Amazon.com.
- Unspoken Promises
is now available from Cerridwen Press! I'm looking forward to hearing your comments.
The first Reviews are coming in, and I have to admit I'm pleased.
- Take a look at the cover for Unspoken Promises!
I'm eager to hear what you think about it--and of course, the book when it is released in late July, 2007.
- Still no news about my various projects waiting for responses from various editors and
agents. Patience in not my strongest virtue, but I'm working on it.
- Well, Joys of Home didn't win the EPPIE inthe
Contemporary Romance section of the
2007 EPPIE contest
but I feel honored that it was chosen as a finalist.
- I've added a page for my Book List, by date. Some books aren't listed
here if they've been reprinted or re-released under another title.
- I've also added some Brainstorming tips for groups.
You can do this at a chapter meeting or a critique session with great, creative results.
- Great news! I am so thrilled! Joys of Home is a finalist in the
Contemporary Romance section of the
2007 EPPIE contest! Have to wait until March 2007 for the winning
novels, but what a pleasure and honor to be a finalist.
-
Unspoken Promises has its own page, now! You'll find an
excerpt, the new blurb, and as soon as available, the cover. I'm really looking forward
to seeing it. I just hope it's as gorgeous as the old one.
- I wanted to find just the right home for my time travel Western historical, originally
released in e format as Promises on the Wind. It took a while, but I'm thrilled to report that
an expanded, revised and re-titled release will be coming from Cerridwen Press as
Unspoken Promises. I'm about to start the edit process and am delighted to get back into
Molly and Ford's adventures. Keep an eye out for developments!
- I'm excited! Thea's Goal, my paranormal fantasy,
in which a woman seeking career advancement and a new Master finds instead an ancient
golem with a goal of its own, was released from Ellora's Cave on August 23, 2006.
Look for it! Take a look at
the Reviews. I hope you'll enjoy Thea's story.
- You've noticed that I've updated my web pages. I thought a "softer, gentler" look
was in order, so I've used the colors of sunsets and sunrises, two of my favorite
things, as accent colors. What do you think?
- At last! Alchemist's Potion is available from
Ellora's Cave. I handed in the edits, and as usual, my editor told me she'd get
back to me with the release date. A few days later, she told me it would be released
the following week. What a huge--and very welcome--surprise!
Take a look at
the Reviews. I hope you'll enjoy it!
- I'm so thrilled!
Joys of Home was one of the 10 Bestsellers at
Whiskey Creek Press!
Some reviews are coming in, and you'll find them at
Joys of Home Reviews. For now, this book is
available only from the publisher and EBay.
- Sad news. LTDBooks has announced that it will close its doors at the end of 2005.
They took on Choices and Storm
when Dreams Unlimited went out of business some years ago. It's been a pleasure
being an LTDBooks author and I'm saddened to see a wonderful publisher close.
- Ellora's Cave gave Sweet Discipline a new cover
in anticipation of the print release in October.
Take a look, then look and tell me via the
poll: which cover works for you?
- The reviews for Myth-behavin', are coming in.... and they're great!
Read what the reviewers are saying.
- Such excitement! Myth-Behavin'
is now available from Ellora's Cave. I really have to thank our cover artist, Syneca, of
Original Syn for such a great, provocative cover.
- And good news! Ellora's Cave will publish, release date unknown, my historical fantasy
about Julian of Wimborne Minster, an alchemist who inadvertently discovers the medieval version of ©Viagra and
throws Henry IV's kingdom into turmoil. Who knew Henry defeated Hotspur (of Shakespearian fame)
thanks to the Alchemist's Potion?
- I'm also happy to report that I finished and submitted a story/novella/book to Red Sage
for their Torn Between Two Lovers concept. I won't say more than this until I hear
back from my editor, but here's hoping...!!
- Take a look at the great cover Jinger Heaston created for Joys of Home! You'll find a small
version on the excerpt page with a link to a larger version. I'm
thrilled with it!
- I've just finished the edits for the print version of Sweet Discipline
which will be out in October, 2005. By the buzz on the Ellora's Cave reader list,
this will be well received. Whew!
- The release date for my magical entry in Ellora's Cave Myth-behavin'
anthology - July 27, 2005! I've posted an excerpt of
El Trauco with a small photo of the cover.
There's a larger image at Myth-Behavin'.
Tell me what you think of it!
- I'm thrilled that a book previously published with Dreams Unlimited has found a
new home with Whiskey Creek Press. Joys of Home is a bit different than my current writing, but it's a
book I'm fond of and I love the hero, Linc Adams. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be?
Due out in December 2005, the book will be available as both electronic and
print form. Can't wait!
- With me in Myth-behaving is Shiloh Walker with Nebulous and Rachel Bo with
Into the Green. Sounds fun! More news as I get it.
- I'll have something new with Ellora's Cave later this year when the magical
anthology, Myth-behaving, comes out in August. My fantasy, El Trauco,
is based on a Chilean legend of a troll who lives in the woods and seduces young
maidens...
- I'm sad to announce that I've amicably withdrawn my book Promises on the Wind, from publication with Beagle Bay Books. Now I need to find a
new home for this time travel. I'm particularly proud of this book.
Any agents or editors interested?
- I've updated my site, adding and changing some pages.
